today was the first day of summer sch..had microecons lecture at 8.30am..it was super boring..haha..my prof was some fat and balding man who kept going on abt supply and demand concepts..bleah..and all those calculations..the whole time i was juz copying down wat he wrote coz the lecture notes are not out yet..tmr i'm gonna have abnormal psych lecture..hope it'll be more interesting than econs..
UCLA is totally cool! think if i'm studying here instead of NUS i might have done better..haha..really like the sch environment..the buildings are super nice..built like the victorian style..and they have like alot of fountains here..i swear it's prob twice as big as NUS..the ppl here are totally into sports..they have camps going on like everyday..and the weather here is really cooling. although the sun is out in full force, the wind is damn cooling so we nv ever sweat..haha..and my skin feels super nice here..haha..my makeup will nv melt..the onli bad thing about UCLA is that they have very little shuttle buses and they dun come to my hostel in the morning..meaning we gotta walk all the way to our lessons..somemore our hostel is located at the other end of the campus..takes about 25mins to walk to our lectures..but good exercise! no wonder ppl here are still so slim even though they eat alot..we went to westwood village for the past 2 days..it's this really cool area juz outside UCLA and they sell clothes and have lotsa food! UCLA students get discounts while dining there too! if onli NUS has this too..haha..my room is not bad too since i'm staying at Saxon suites..mi and meiching are in one bedroom and these 2 other afro-american gals are in the other bedroom..actually we requested to share with deborah and weili but somehow they separated us and the 2 gals didnt wanna swap rooms with them..so we gotta stick with it..but i think they're quite nice so shld be alright..we got 2 sinks, a toilet and a shower room and also a living room with sofas..not bad..haha..better than Rieber hall where all the beds and tables are cramped together..cant even move around much..haha..and they gotta use the common toilet..i'll upload the photos another time..my room is in a total mess right now..haha..so far think we've explored quite abit of the sch..it's really huge..and quite spooky at night..we saw this hooded man hiding behind some bushes yest and we almost ran away..haha..not safe to wander around alone at night..oh i'll be going san francisco this fri! super excited! update more when i get back!
ooh...and andy roddick won the first round at wimbledon!!!
