BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE

haha..been awhile since i last blogged..was busy reading Harry Potter & the Deathly Hollows! finally finished reading! the book is super nice lar! action packed from the first page to the last..and lotsa twists in it..shldnt reveal too much in case anyone hasn't read it yet! but it's like my fav book among the series! too bad its the last book liao..its like nothing to look forward to anymore except for the remaining 2 books..i love the series so much! gonna pass on to my children and grandchildren to read..haha..

anyway went quite a few places last week! On Friday we went to Universal Studios! it was super fun lar esp Jurassic Park and The Mummy rides! we went on Jurassic Park first coz there were quite few ppl and i was totally soaked when we came down the waterfall..somemore i was sitting at the last 2nd row! there was also water constantly being squirted at us throughout the ride..so after that we decided to go on it again coz since we are already wet and doesnt matter if we get wetter..haha..i thought the 2nd time was worse coz i was really wetter this time and we were sitting at the 2nd row..actually it doesnt matter where we sit coz everyone would get wet..but it was super fun! we even tried to pose for the camera when we came down the waterfall..haha..then we went to The Mummy ride..its an indoor roller coaster ride..damn fun..coz at first the ride was quite slow then we got to see some of the designs..its damn nice inside..then suddenly the ride juz accelerated without warning into darkness! there were lotsa turns and drops lar! then suddenly the car came to a stop! before we could figure out wat happened the car went backwards! omg! haha..so exciting! we end up stopping at some place with lotsa fog so we cant see anything and we thought there was sth else next..but when the doors opened we were back at the start lor..abit anti-climax coz the ride was so short..but we went on it again coz it was damn fun! at the exit there were these 3 figures standing on some blocks and we thought they were statues..we were abt to walk past them when one of them stepped down suddenly..scare the hell out of us! haha..after that we went to watch some shows..one of them showed how the special effects in the movies were made..quite cool..after lunch we went on the studio tour..queued for abt 40mins but was definitely worth it..we got the see the replica of the movie sets such as King Kong, Jaws and Desperate Housewifes! there were ppl filming inside also but we didnt get to see who were there..then we went to watch Shrek 4-D..it's really damn cool! coz whenever the donkey sneezed on the screen then water will be squirted onto our face! like he's sneezing at us..haha..and the seats can move also..it imitated the galloping horse and the carriage ride..super nice..we also went into the House of Horror! its quite scary coz we had to walk through the house and there were figures such as Chucky, Frankenstein and the Psycho movie..the psycho movie one was quite disgusting coz they hanged fake bodies wrapped in plastic on the ceiling and we had to made our way pass them by pushing them aside..yucks..but the most scary one was at the end we had to walk pass this crazy guy..he was standing in front of us and slapping sth on the floor..scare the hell out of us..nobody dared to walk in front..then this Frankenstein came out from the box and started following us and tried to grab us..omg..siaoz lar..haha..we also watched Fear Factor Live..saw bugs being put on ppl..damn gross..we were super tired when we left and still had to wait so long for the bus to come..siao lor..the bus come once every hour..madness..took us damn long to reach UCLA..

then on saturday we went to Beverly Center to do some shopping..bought a top and dress! then i went with julia at night to westwood again for Diddy Reese's ice cream! we really have nothing better to do..but i love eating ice cream in the cold! on sunday, julia and I went to catch the tennis match in sch..it was the men's final..James Blake vs Radek Stepanek..first time watching a live tennis game..so exciting! the match went into 3 sets and i was rooting for Blake but in the end Stepanek won..we also caught the men's doubles final after that and the Bryan brothers won! yeah! then we went to westwood for dinner and when we went back to UCLA we got boliao again and started taking photos around the sch..haha..

i finally went to Beverly Hills on Monday after sch! actually julia and i onli went to Rodeo Drive coz i wanna go the Ralph Lauren shop to get polo tee..got myself and my mom the newest polo tee for fall! Rodeo Drive is this street where all the branded shops ah..and it's damn nice! the shops are super big also! this is this small street inside with cafes and shops and looks super nice..like Europe like that..haha..and there was this shop there sells body products made of organic materials and shaped like food..quite cool..and we saw a cheescake factory restaurant there..the food serving is super big and i heard the cheesecakes are damn nice..think will go this weekend to try! then yest night mi, julia and qi xiao went to O'Hara's in Westwood coz we thought it was a club..turns out that it was a bar lor and we dun wanna drink..but it was too late to go to any of the clubs by then..so we went to Starbuck's for a drink and took photos again after that..haha..

time passes really quickly..i onli have one and a half more weeks here and then it's back to Singapore and NUS again..sianz..i really love everything here..think i'll miss here alot after i leave..sadz..but nvm..i'll try to make the most out of the last week here! in the meantime i need to go for my psych experiment..update more again another day..
