my hokkaido trip was super super fun! eat and eat most of the time..our group size juz nice also.. abt 24 of us and half of them were from this big family of 12..some of them migrated to australia but came back for the hols..first day nothing much..juz flew to narita airport in tokyo..the flight was quite long..didnt slp well also..seats so crammed..haha..then we had to take a bus ride to haneda airport which serves onli domestic flights and take a flight to chitose airport..it was already the 2nd day liao..somemore the plane delayed abit so had even lesser time left for sightseeing..it was much colder in hokkaido than Tokyo coz its higher up but it was still ok without the wind..

the day is super short there lar..by the time it was 4.30pm the sky was totally dark..like nighttime liao..so we onli managed to visit the Shiraoi Ainu village..the ppl from there are actually like the aborigines of Japan and they speak some japanese dialect..and they always stay near the lakes coz they can onli catch fish for food..thats y the whole village is filled with dried salmons..then watched a traditional performance done by them..quite interesting..by the time we came out of the performance the place was pitch black..haha..and it was snowing very very slightly..after that went back to hotel which is near Lake Toya and had dinner there..there was karaoke there also so this guy called Daniel and the tour guide got sing songs for us..haha.. after that went to the hot spring inside the hotel where we had to strip naked..haha..got these 2 other ladies with us also..at first felt very funny but after that decided to juz strip off our yukata and run in..haha..watever lar..all women anyway..the outdoors one quite nice..inside the water hot but outside cold..shiok..can bathe there afterwards..the products they use are damn good lar..the shampoo and stuff all use horse oil one..make my hair damn smooth..haha..and the peeling gel was super too..haha..that night slp on tatami..not bad juz that the stupid radiator keep crackling the whole night..haha..

2nd day went to Lake Toya to take some pics first..saw some geese swimming in the water.. muz be freezing lar..haha..then we went to this bear ranch to feed the bears..it's actually quite smelly there..haha..they separate the bears by their ages and the bears quite smart one leh.. they noe how to stand up and beg or clap to make us throw them biscuits..so cute! we also saw mount showa, this volcano that rise up suddenly from the ground..after that went to Hell Valley which is actually full of boiling ponds and steaming streams..but amazingly cant really smell much sulphur..much better than the one in New Zealand..that was the ultimate man..nv smelled so much sulphur in my entire life..haha..

lunch that day was superb! had lots and lots of seafood that we ordered ourselves..all fresh and alive..we got the king crab and some shells and clams and even a sea urchin..all sashimi style..wah damn shuang..the crab was super sweet..put inside the steamboat also nice to eat! nv had such damn good seafood in my entire life..even better than those at turf city..haha..think altogether spent abt $400 juz ordering seafood..but damn worth it..then went to this sake museum and got to try sake..didnt really like it..still prefer wine..haha..and we started having snowball fight outside..got some time to do some shopping at asahikawa before dinner..bought a pair of nice gloves for myself..after that went to some ramen shop for dinner..wah the ramen is damn nice! and cheap! and big serving! we were so determined to buy ramen back to sg after that..haha..

okie..part 2 continues another day..haha..and i juz broke one of my resolutions..to buy less makeup..i juz bought a whole tub od pink glitter today..couldnt resist myself..haha..unbelievable rite..and it's onli the 6th day of 2008..by the time the 60th day is here god noes how much makeup would i have bought by then..haha..
